Founded in 2016 by Dr. Sandeep Gupta, DSAND Animal Nutrition began with a vision to transform animal health through science-driven solutions. What started in poultry nutrition has evolved into a bioscience company dedicated to developing patented, research-based innovations in nutraceutical animal nutrition.

Our Founder
Dr. Sandeep Gupta – A Renowned Animal Nutritionist
Dr. Sandeep Gupta, the founder of DSAND Animal Nutrition Pvt. Ltd., holds a PH.D. in Animal Nutrition & a degree in Business Management from IIM-Indore, brings over 20 years of hands-on experience in poultry nutrition and animal feed additive development. With a strong background in animal science and applied nutrition, he has worked closely with farmers, researchers, and feed manufacturers to understand the evolving needs of livestock health.
His work spans multiple areas including:
- Formulating least-cost poultry feed
- Feed premix development for poultry and dairy
- Enzyme supplementation strategies for broilers, layers, breeders, and indigenous breeds like Kadaknath
- Nutritional interventions in dairy cattle for improved milk yield, milk fat content, reproductive efficiency, and udder health
Dr. Gupta has contributed to various research studies and publications in national and international journals, and continues to bridge the gap between science and real-world farming through DSAND’s innovation-driven approach.
Today, his vision powers DSAND’s mission to provide scientifically sound, field-tested, and sustainable animal nutrition solutions across poultry, dairy, aquaculture, swine, and pet segments.
Manufacturing & Research Excellence
Over the past 10 years, DSAND has developed a state-of-the-art, fully automated production facility (batch automation system) built for precision, scalability, and consistency. With a production capacity of 900 metric tons per single shift, our systems enable high-volume output with zero possibility of human error, ensuring both speed and accuracy in every batch.
Our facility is proudly ISO 9001:2015 and FAMI-QS certified, audited and approved by TÜV Nord. The facility is also certified with ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 22000:2018, HACCP, and WHO-GMP — a testament to our commitment to global quality and safety standards.
All operations are managed through an integrated Building Management System (BMS) that offers real-time monitoring of environmental conditions, utilities, and equipment for total operational control, compliance, and enhanced energy efficiency.
To maintain consistent quality, we operate a dedicated in-house Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) laboratory, where each product undergoes rigorous testing to meet strict standards for safety, consistency, and efficacy before it reaches the customer.
Backing our production capabilities is a cutting-edge research and development ecosystem. Our climate-controlled research facility — equipped with advanced HVAC systems — is purpose-built for controlled trials in broilers, layers, and breeders. With capacity to house up to 840 birds, the unit enables accurate testing of both feed and water-soluble supplements under scientifically validated conditions.
Further supporting innovation is a high-precision analytical laboratory, outfitted with ICP-MS, LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS, and HPLC to test amino acids, vitamins, trace minerals, toxins, pesticides, and more — ensuring every formulation is nutritionally balanced and field-ready.
To facilitate nutritional trials, our in-house feed pellet mill, with a capacity of 150 kg/hour and an integrated crumbler, allows us to develop and test experimental diets in various feed forms.
