FAQs about Proease

1. Soya is a rich veg source for protein in feed. But, when Soya DOC was reduced in feed, the overall egg production has come down to 70%. The normal average egg production is 85 to 90%. Farmer is asking when they reduce 25 kg of soya in feed and incorporating 250 gm of Proease & 25 kg of DORB, the final compound feed will reduce the cost and adjust the Protein value. But, does this will increase the egg production?

The 250 gm per ton of Proease has power to reduce approximate 25 Kg Soya DOC in feed. If we reformulate or replace 25 kg soya doc, the egg production might be decrease for 7-8 days, then again it will come on standard production. To resolve this issue, we should follow two methods for adding or reducing soya:a. If reformulate by using full matrix value: In this method, minimum 20-25 kg soya doc can be reduced in the diet compare to without Proease diet. We should add 20-25 kg soya doc additionally for next two days after reformulation and in every two days we should reduce 5 kg soy doc until the reformulation diet.b. If directly reduce 20 kg soya doc and replace by 20 kg DORB: We should not replace total 20-25 kg soya doc in single time. We should add 250 gm of Proease in diet and replace 5 kg soya doc by DORB in every two days until total 20-25 kg soya doc is replaced. It will take 8-10 days for total replacement. It is shown in below table.Example: Soya DOC @ 250 kg per ton
Soya DOC | DORB
First day: 245 kg | 5 kg
Next two days: 240 kg | 10 kg
Next two days: 235 kg |15 kg
Next two days: 230 kg | 20 kg
Next two days: 225 kg | 25 kg

2. Some Farmers asked Products trial reports in Local Area Farms.?

Yes, we have an institutional as well as local trials for Proease in broilers and layers.

3. Soya Rate is now Rs.42/kg. It is further expected to reduce to Rs.35/ in the next fortnight. Mostly, when the Soya at low rate, Farmer will use only Soya DOC. (Fish meal are not used due to pathogens). Farmers told Proease will be used when the soya rate is high?

Inclusion of Proease in diets depend on its price and matrix value. The use of Proease can give better ROI until price of soya doc will come down till ₹ 20.

4. How much Soya Doc can be replaced with Proease?

In thumb rule, 20-25 Kg Soy DOC can be replaced by 250 gm dose of Proease. For balance formulation refer to matrix values of Proease.

5. Origin of Cysteine protease asked by consultants & how it works on 3-9 pH, is it a coated enzyme?

8. Can you provide complete ROI chart for broiler & layer feed?

Yes, we can provide details of institutional as well farm trial reports with economics of Proease and Growease.

9. We are using branded cocktail enzymes, no need to use separate enzyme.

Any good quality non-starch polysaccharide enzyme should be used energy matrix.

10. Why Protease enzyme in poultry diet, as we are using multi-enzymes, in which we have protease already and how it is beneficial for us?

Protease used in multi enzymes are unidentified and does not have any matrix for protein reduction in diet.

11. Can we replace our cocktail enzymes with this?

Proease is used mainly for protein degradation. We cannot compare with cocktail enzyme.

12. Can we replace other protein sources also other than Soya, like GNC, CGM, Animal By-products (as per protein levels in feed)? And how much?

Most of the formulations are based on least cost formulations and we should replace high cost with high inclusion rate protein source raw material for benefit of feed millers.

13. You say to replace 18- 20 kg Soya DOC per ton of feed but we are using 20 kg only, then we can replace all? (Layers)

Yes, we can replace. Most of the formulations are based on least cost formulations and we should replace high cost with high inclusion rate protein source raw material for benefit of farmers.

14. If we replace 20 kg Soya DOC per ton of feed with DORB, then how to fulfill the M.E.?

This is thumb rule. For balance formulation, we must use matrix of Proease in formulation software.

15. Will Proease improve our FCR?

If, formulation is deficient of protein, in this condition top dressing of Proease can improve FCR.

16. How many days it will take to remove 20 kg Soya DOC or immediately we can remove?

The 250 gm per ton of Proease has power to reduce approximately 20 Kgs Soya DOC in feed. If we reformulate or replace 20 kg Soya DOC, the egg production might be decrease for 7-8 days, then again it will come on standard egg production. To resolve the issue, we should follow two methods for adding or reducing Soya DOC:a. If directly reduce 20 kg soy doc and replace by 20 kg DORB: we should not replace total 20 kg soya doc in single time. We should add 250 gm of Proease in diet and replace 5 kg soya doc by DORB in every two days until total 20 kg soya doc replaced. It will take 8-10 days for total replacement.

17. After falling of Soya DOC price, what is the use of Proease separately, need to discuss the technical points & also ROI aspect.

Inclusion of Proease in diets depend on its price and matrix value. The use of Proease can give better ROI until price of soya doc will come down till ₹ 20.

18. Benefit of single strain protease enzyme use in Poultry feed in detail.

Every specific enzyme has an E.C. No., our Proease E.C. No. is 3.4.22. and have some specific properties and characteristics. These are like activity in broad range of pH (3-9), Heat stability due to sulfhydryl bond between amino acid chain, food raw material substrate specification etc.

19. How much extra protein we can get from 250 gm Proease? (If not replaced Soya).

Matrix of Proease can provide 0.84 % protein in diet which is equal to 20 Kg soya DOC.

FAQs about Bactozest

1. What is probiotic?

Probiotics are live micro-organisms which, when administered in adequate amounts, confer a health benefit on the host.

2. What is the function of probiotics?

Probiotics are intended to decrease dysbiosis, an off-balance gut, and increase eubiosis, a healthy, balanced gut.

3. Why do my chickens need probiotics?

Probiotics are beneficial microorganisms. They help to support digestive health by supporting a more diverse population of beneficial bacteria in the digestive tract. Digestive health is especially important for raising a healthy flock. Birds establish gut microflora through the feed they eat and the environment in which they’re raised. The goal of feeding a probiotic is to populate the digestive tract with beneficial bacteria, so pathogens like E. coli, Salmonella, and Clostridium have less room to grow. Feeding probiotics early in life to chicks can help give them a head start to good health.

4. What probiotics should I feed my flock?

Various strains of bacteria can be found in probiotics. However, it’s important to choose the right strain of probiotic to receive the intended benefits. When looking for a probiotic for your birds, look for one with Bacillus strain, a very hardy strain of beneficial bacteria which populates rapidly. Other probiotics are often mixtures of bacteria such as Lactobacillus, Bifidobacterium and other unknown strains.

5. How does a Bacillus probiotic work?

Many strains of Bacillus bacteria exist in nature. Like other feed ingredients – vitamins, minerals and protein – it is important to select the right product for your birds’ needs. The mode of action of probiotics in poultry includes maintaining normal intestinal microflora by competitive exclusion and antagonism resulting in: • Altered metabolism by increasing digestive enzyme activity and decreasing bacterial enzyme activity and ammonia production • Improved feed intake and digestion • Neutralised enterotoxins and stimulating the immune system

6. What this means is good bacteria populate quickly?

It means not allowing bad bacteria to grow and take over. If the right probiotic is chosen, the microflora will remain stable while lowering the risk of intestinal pathogens becoming a problem.

7. When should probiotics be offered?

Probiotics can be offered to birds of all ages. While they can be fed daily to maintain a healthy digestive system, probiotics can work best during times of stress and after antibiotic treatment. Poultry can undergo stress at different times in their life, including: • Hatching • Temperature changes • Transportation • New environment • Feed and water changesAn animal’s immune system is suppressed during times of stress. Their feed and water intake may also decrease at the same time. It is important to help wherever possible to keep them clean, dry and comfortable in addition to keeping them hydrated and providing supportive products, including probiotics.

8. How should I feed probiotics to my chickens?

Probiotics come in powder form and can easily be mixed in water then fed to your birds in their drinking water. Feeding tips: • Mix with clean, cool water • Offer plain drinking water in addition to the mixed solution in a separate container • Mix fresh solution daily • Refrigerate mixed solution for up to 48 hours; discard any unused solution after 48 hours. Feeding probiotics can help get your flock off to a healthy start. Continue to feed probiotics through every life stage to maintain a healthy digestive system.
