How PELBOND Works
Gelatinization-Driven Binding: Under heat, pressure, and moisture during pelleting, the starches in PELBOND undergo gelatinization, a process that transforms their physicochemical properties. This forms strong crosslinked gels that tightly bind feed particles, producing structurally sound pellets.
Thermo-Stable Bond Formation: The combination of amylopectin and galactomannans promotes irreversible thermo-reactive bonding, which enhances water stability and prevents leaching or disintegration. These bonds remain intact even under extrusion conditions, maintaining pellet quality through the toughest production environments.
Enhanced Lubrication and Flow: PELBOND reduces friction in the pelleting process, minimizing wear on equipment and improving die life. It also improves moisture repellency, lowers roller slippage, and reduces die blockages — making it a highly efficient binder solution.
